In November 2011, I wrote “The Future of Google Plus” The current social media attempt by Google., things started well for the site back in it’s beginning but then a report came out last week by Comscore. Comscore found that people spend an average of 3.3 minutes on plus compared to 7.5 hours on Facebook. This is a downward trend for Google Plus.
Google is not looking to give up on the site, they are integrating Google Plus and Google Plus features into it’s sites. It back in January put Google Plus in it’s search unit called “Search plus your world”. But it’s also not even a year old to the fact. It also reached 90 million users in January. They opened it to teens late January as well.
I say there’s no doom and gloom yet it’s a slow process into the next mode and of course comparing it to the beginnings would always maybe shadow in comparison.Websites slowly start and catch on later (like Facebook), Some websites start of quick and fizzle (like myspace). So for now Google Plus’ future is stable.
